“I started a company in one weekend, what about you?”
If you, for one reason or another, missed the past eight Startup Weekends in Oslo, now is the chance for you to finally experience for yourself what the buzz, of Startup Weekend is all about! Our next event is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 13-15 June 2014 (venue TBD), and just as in the previous Startup Weekend events, everyone are welcome to join in on the fun!
Why should you attend Startup Weekend Oslo?
1. You’ll meet awesome people.
Entrepreneurs. Developers. Designers. Marketers. Product managers. Startup enthusiasts. Tech guys. They’ll be there, and they want to meet you. Startup Weekend is more than just a place to give your idea wings—it’s a place to plug into a community of talent.
2. It’s fast.
Startup Weekend takes an idea and launches it in 54 hours. No getting bogged down in 50 pages of a business plan, endless book research and months of meetings. This weekend is about testing your ideas to see if they stick and taking action to move them ahead.
3. You will learn a lot.
Startup Weekends are all about learning through doing and creating. Step outside of your comfort zone and learn something new by doing it. Want to learn how to prototype an app? We’ll hold a mini-class on Saturday morning to show the non-tech person how to use free prototyping tools. Want to become a social media maven? This is the place to put that book learning to work. Mentors, fellow participants, tools and the Startup Weekend experience provide a rich hands-on learning experience.

Now that you’re convinced, here’s how the ticket system works:
In order to get a good mix of people with different skillsets to our event, and thus make the weekend even more valuable for you, we have three different types of tickets, with a limited amount in each category. If you’re not sure which category to go with, here’s a little guidance for you:
If you know how to code, and you’re willing to help out your team with this during Startup Weekend, the developer ticket is the right choice for you.
If you’re a creator type with a background in graphics, UX/UI, or anything else designer related, tangible or intangible, computer based or not, the designer ticket is likely the right option.
Marketer, financier, ballet dancer, academic, businessman or –woman, florist, physicist, or anything else that does not fit into any of the above categories? Choose the non-technical ticket type.
Please keep in mind that anyone attending the event, regardless of ticket type, is welcome to pitch their idea Friday evening, so choose your ticket based on your experience.
Student? Use code STUDY to get your 150kr discount on any of the ticket categories (cannot be combined with other promotions). Remember to bring your valid student ID to the event on the first day.
Oh, and by the way; we have released a limited number of discounted tickets in each category, at only 500kr, for you early birds out there. What are you waiting for?
