Will you join our next adventure?

Startup Weekend Oslo VI will take place on May 24-26, and will feature the best business ideas in town. Here is a video showing the basic concept from our recent held Startup Weekend for Military Veterans:

Startup Weekend Military Veterans 2013 in Norway. Mission: further equip veterans to be entrepreneurs from Startup Weekend Norway on Vimeo.

You are perfect for Startup Weekend if:

  • You have a business idea and you want to find the time and the right people to work on it
  • You want to learn more about entrepreneurship and be surrounded by people with same mindset
  • You want to help develop other people’s business ideas (e.g.: develop a website, design a product, help with marketing/ sales etc.)

Startup Weekend is an intense weekend-long event, focusing on taking ideas to a business concept that could form the basis of a credible business. It brings together people with different skill sets – software developers, graphic designers, business people and other creative individuals – to build products and ideas, and develop a commercial case around them.

  • Friday: you pitch your business idea (if you have one), you meet your co-founders and create the teams.
  • Saturday: you WORK, together with specialised coaches.
  • Sunday: you present your work and demo to a specialised jury.

In some cases a brand new business idea turns into a full-time job for the team members, such as Pido. Soundrop, Swipe, Clicklift – from previous Startup Weekend events. The event will take place in English to ensure as many people as possible can attend.
